VERY FINE-EXTREMELY FINE. A PHENOMENAL VERTICAL PAIR OF THE 12-CENT 1851 ISSUE, WITH PART OF THE IMPRINT AT RIGHT.

Part imprint examples of the 12c 1851 Issue from the late state of Plate 1 are very rare. There are no recorded complete imprints from a stamp multiple. As discussed in lot 392 the early state of the 12c Plate 1 lacked an imprint.
