10c Green, Types II/III (14/15). Vertical pair with Type II at top and Type III at bottom, large margins to in at bottom, used with 1c Blue, Type IV (9), full margins to slightly in, tied by "New Orleans La. Jul. 26" (1856) circular datestamps on cover originating in Vera Cruz, Mexico, and sent to Paris via the United States and England, then forwarded back to England, "Vera Cruz 21 Jul. 1856" oval datestamp began its journey, Vera Cruz and New Orleans forwarder ovals on flap, red "New-York Am. Pkt. Aug. 2" circular datestamp and carried on the Collins Line Ericsson, departing New York Aug. 2 and arriving Liverpool Aug. 18, French entry datestamps including one tying 10c pair, "16" decimes due handstamp, forwarded back to England with red Aug. 22 receiving datestamp and "BRITISH/FOREIGN" two-line handstamp for postage due from recipient, indicated by manuscript "1-/8" on flap (4p for British postage from France and 1sh4p for foreign postage), 1c stamp small corner creaseEXTREMELY FINE. A COLORFUL AND OUTSTANDING 1851-55 ISSUE COVER FROM VERA CRUZ, MEXICO, TO FRANCE VIA THE UNITED STATES--THEN FORWARDED BACK TO ENGLAND.
