Apr. 8" circular datestamp with matching "SHIP" handstamp on cover to West Goldsborough Me., endorsed "Ship Letter" at left, cover expertly restored at left, appears Very Fine, a very rare use, delivered to the captain of a ship headed to Baltimore where it entered the mails, the stamp paid the 2c ship fee plus 3c domestic postage, the payment of this rate on a cover to a domestic address is very rare, ex Gibson and Dr. Kapiloff
