Sale 1239, Lot 657, Carriers and Locals, Revenues, Confederate States, HawaiiHussey's Post, New York, N.Y., Study Collection, 1856-82. Huge collection originally mounted by Elliott Perry in three oversize maroon albums with some additional loose stuck between pages, many items identified with pencil captions noting the printing and some Scott numbers, full range of issues from the earliest stamps to Special Delivery and some handstamps, probably thousands of stamps and reprints with much duplication for study of varieties, many blocks and complete sheets included as well as covers -- a few of which are not genuine uses but a good number are genuine, mostly nice condition with some of the typical flaws to be found in such an accumulation, a few no doubt are misidentified on the pages

AN EXTENSIVE AND VALUABLE COLLECTION OF THE NEW YORK CITY HUSSEY'S POST, MOUNTED BY ELLIOTT PERRY AND BASED ON YEARS OF CAREFUL STUDY.

We recommend careful viewing of this lot as its size defies thorough description. From the Richard Schwartz collection, who acquired the Elliott Perry Carriers & Locals material and kept this Hussey's study collection intact.
