EXTREMELY FINE. A VIBRANT AND WIDE-MARGINED PART IMPRINT SINGLE OF THE 1875 7-CENT CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING.

Our census of Scott 171 contains 75 examples, including one in the Miller collection owned by The New York Public Library, leaving 74 available to collectors. Most stamps were scissors-separated, affecting the perforations on at least one side. This stamp comes from the famous Earl of Crawford set of strips and is one of the finest examples contained in our records.
