Kidder's City Express Post, Brooklyn N.Y., 2c Black on Pale Blue Glazed (93L1). Initialed "IS" (Isaac Snedeker), full margins except just touched at bottom, uncancelled and affixed to Jun. 20, 1848 folded letter on which it does not originate, cover is from Manhasset, Long Island to Brooklyn street address, "Kidder's Brooklyn City Express Post Jun. -- 2 Cts" large oval datestamp, some toning, otherwise Very Fine, a very early example of Snedecker's initials on the Kidder's stamp -- he is believed to have joined Kidder in late 1847 or 1848 -- ex Caspary and Golden, with 2000 P.F. certificate stating the stamp did not originate
