Spectacular stamp with enormous top right corner sheet margins, red "Free" cancel, impression ties thru paper, matching "Boyd's City Express Post, Apr. 3 9 O'C" oval datestamp on 1845 folded letter to local street addressEXTREMELY FINE. THIS IS THE LARGEST KNOWN SHEET-MARGIN EXAMPLE OF BOYD'S THIRD ISSUE ON OR OFF COVER.
The Third Issue (20L3) is widely regarded as the scarcest of the early Small Eagle & Globe. Covers are rare, and this enormous corner-margin stamp is undoubtedly the finest extant.
