Letter Express (Wells), 5c Black on Pink Glazed (96L1). Large margins to just clear at left, cancelled by manuscript "X" on light green folded letter datelined "Rochester Augt. 7/44" to New York City, red "Boyd's City Express Post Aug. 13" boxed datestamp, Very Fine, unusual conjunctive use, Wells' Letter Express provided service from Buffalo to points west, but in this case their stamp appears to have been accepted by Pomeroy for service from Rochester to New York City
