5c 1800s Canoe, Gray Omitted (2453b). Affixed to small piece, the words "Additional Nonprofit Postage Paid" appear in part but are printed in Brown instead of Gray as is the case on the normal stamp, Very Fine and unique error, with 1998 A.P.S. certificate and accompanied by 1996 Linn's Stamp News articles announcing the discovery of the error and explaining how it might have come about, listed but unpriced in both Scott and Datz (who notes this is the only example recorded)
