Sale 1231, Lot 613, Modern Errors22c Republic of Texas, Dark Red Omitted (2204b). Mint N.H., Very Fine, a rare and striking color-omitted error, only twenty are recorded according to Datz, accompanied by a block of nine with progressive diminution of the Dark Blue, containing one stamp that nearly qualifies as the Scott listed 2204c error (Dark Blue omitted), but with faint traces of the color present (see Sale 989, lot 196 for the adjoining multiple to this block, which does contain the 2204c error), Scott value for only No. 2204b
