EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A STUNNING USED JUMBO EXAMPLE OF THE IMPERFORATE 1851 ONE-CENT TYPE II. ESPECIALLY DESIRABLE FROM THE SCARCER PLATE 3.

With 2011 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $3,000.00). SMQ does not differentiate Scott No. 7s between the more common Plates 1E and 2 and the scarcer Plates 3 and 4. Scott prices Plate 3 No. 7 at 2.5-times the value for Plates 1E and 2. This is the highest graded example and the only Superb 98 Jumbo we have ever offered from Plate 3.
