Hale & Co., 5c Blue on Pelure (75L1a). Octagonal margins, couple small edge tears, tied by one of two large manuscript "R" cancels with red "Forwarded by Hale & Co. from 37 S. Third Street, Philadelphia" oval handstamp (Ty. F33) on undated folded letter to Lexington Mass., slight soiling and edgewear, appears Fine, Gutman records ten Philadelphia covers with the "R" cancel, this is an unusual example tying the stamp, with 2000 P.F. certificate as 75L1
