F3) on bluish gray folded letter datelined "Albany August 5, 1844" and addressed to Boston street address, red "POMEROY'S MAIL" straightline (Ty. PLE-HS2) and "P A I D ." handstamps applied at origin, handed to Hale's Albany office for transport to Boston, the Hale handstamps struck over the Pomeroy "Paid" marking, which suggests Hale collected something for their effort, Extremely Fine, an unusual cover that proves the two types of Pomeroy markings were applied at the Albany office, ex Dr. Puliafito
