Nov. 5), Very Fine, the arrival of the PMSS Oregon on Sep. 18 brought the first shipment of 1851 Issue stamps to California, the earliest recorded use of the new issue from California is Sep. 30 (the cover offered here), ex Jessup, Pearce, Walske and "New Helvetia"
