1852, New Orleans to Ghent, Belgium. Blue folded printed market report from A. & M. Heine Co. of July 9, 1852, to Ghent, Belgium, red "New Orleans La. Jul. 13" circular datestamp with matching "PAID/4" handstamp, red "2" handstamp applied in New York for credit to G.B., manuscript "1" pence debit to Belgium, red Ostend accountancy handstamp struck but not filled out, fresh and Very Fine, carried on the Collins line's Atlantic, under the 1848 treaty newspapers could be sent to the continent via England for 4c, unsealed circulars also were covered under this rate, in April 1853 the rate was reduced to 2c, this is the only recorded stampless circular sent at this rate to Belgium (one is also known with a stamp), ex Winter
