Sale 1227, Lot 3406, 1913-15 Washington-Franklin Issues (Scott 424-447)3c Violet, Coil (445). Guide line pair, rich color, light double oval cancel, fresh and Fine, a rare used line pair of this issue, the 3c stamps were employed primarily for special mailings such as samples and pamphlets and so relatively few used examples were saved -- particularly line pairs, with 1991 P.F. and 2019 P.S.E. certificates (F 70; SMQ $1,450.00), only three line pairs grade higher (at 75, 80 and 90)
