FINE-VERY FINE. ONE OF FOUR RECORDED PLATE BLOCKS OF THE 1875 2-CENT VERMILION CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE COMPANY ISSUE.

The Chapin census records three intact plate blocks of the 1875 2c Vermilion, excluding this block of fourteen. Only one larger multiple is known -- the only recorded top position plate block (of 20) recently offered in our William H. Gross auction
