Sale 1227, Lot 2939, $1.00-$5.00 1893 Columbian Issue (Scott 241-245)$3.00 Columbian (243). Bottom imprint, plate no. 106 and letters "B B" at right strip of four, original gum, lightly hinged, bright color, few minor natural paper wrinkles in selvage

VERY GOOD. A SCARCE IMPRINT AND PLATE NUMBER STRIP OF FOUR OF THE $3.00 COLUMBIAN.

The $3.00 Columbian is extremely difficult to find in any form of plate number multiple. Only three plate blocks are known (they are blocks of six). We have offered only three other imprint and plate number strips of four since 1993.
