10c Green, Ty. I (31). Slightly disturbed original gum described on accompanying certificate as "unused o.g.", rich color, especially wide margins at top and bottom which clearly show the type characteristics, few slight creasesVERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1857 10-CENT TYPE I. PARTICULARLY RARE WITH FOUR MARGINS.
The scarcer types of the perforated 10c 1857 are rarely found with original gum, and many have perfs cutting into the design on at least one side. The example offered here, clearly showing the characteristics of the type, is quite desirable.
