FINE-VERY FINE AND RARE COMPLETE SET OF THE 1902 ISSUE WITH "SPECIMEN" OVERPRINT APPLIED BY BRITISH POSTAL AUTHORITIES.

Similar to the "Ultramar" overprints, these were applied to U.S. stamps provided to postal authorities as examples of what would appear on mail coming from the United States. While individual values of these Specimen overprints are sometimes found, a complete set is extremely rare.
