Friedmann in Berlin, Germany, printed "Via LIVERPOOL" route directive, red "AACHEN 23 8 /FRANCO" framed datestamp (Aug. 23), receiving backstamp (Aug. 24) -- carried on the Cunarder Europa from Boston, departing Aug. 10, 1859, arriving Liverpool Aug. 20 -- immaculate condition, the second 10c stamp at top has a pre-use tear at bottom left, stamp at bottom left creased from placement at corner, short opening tear in cover at right, still Extremely Fine, a colorful and extraordinary double-rate cover with the New York credit datestamp used to cancel all six stamps, we have never seen another cover like this
