October 28, 1941 -- Amsterdam to New York. Cover with Netherlands 12c stamp tied by "Amsterdam 28 X 17 1941" postmark and addressed to Jackson Heights N.Y., back of cover with Berlin censor's label, also with "Opened by Examiner 2019" censor's label which identifies this as the Bermuda censor, pencil "I.C." on label from Imperial Censorship station and was only used after Roosevelt's declaration of war, slightly reduced at right, Very Fine, believed to be the only use of this censor's marking on surface mail from Holland to the United States, this was routed overland to Lisbon via Berlin where it was likely carried on the S.S. Exeter from the American Export Line
