1898, 66-2/3c Violet on Dark Blue, -1/3bbl., Beer (REA61; Priester 67). Large margins to clear including left sheet margin, faintly cancelled, small faults including creases and tiny internal tearVERY FINE APPEARANCE. THE 1898 ONE-THIRD BARREL UNSURCHARGED ISSUE IS ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL BEER STAMP ISSUES. ONLY TWO COPIES ARE RECORDED BY PRIESTER.
The other example was offered in our 2006 sale of the Tolman collection, and has margins in at top and bottom. Both stamps have faults.
