4c Orange Brown, Coil (350). Guide line pair, deep rich color, oval registry cancels, completely sound

FINE AND RARE USED GUIDE LINE PAIR OF THE 1910 4-CENT VERTICAL COIL. ONLY NINE GENUINE USED GUIDE LINE MULTIPLES ARE LISTED IN OUR CENSUS.

According to Johl (Vol. 1, page 153), this coil was issued approximately eighteen months after the horizontal coil Scott 354 and was only in use for a short period of time. Our census of used guide line pairs records only eight, plus one contained in a strip of four. Five or six were used in Benton Harbor Mich., the home town of Alvin Filstrup.
