VERY FINE AND CHOICE. THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF THIS 2-CENT-3-CENT DUAL ESSAY.

Edward Oldham was a prominent bank note engraver from Ireland. After emigrating to New York he worked at National Bank Note Co. from 1863 until his death in 1894 (see A History of Long Island by Peter Ross, 1902, at Google Books).
