3c Dull Red, Ty. I (11). Ample margins to touched at bottom, light diagonal crease at top right, tied by beautifully clear strike of "Illinoistown St. Clair co. ILLs. Mar. 23" three-line datestamp in rectangular frame on small cover to Monticello N.Y., Extremely Fine strike of this exceedingly rare town and county datestamp (Simpson Rarity 10), we offered an off-cover No. 11 in the Amonette collection (Sale 783, lot 231) with a partial strike but we have not encountered another on-cover example -- ex Grunin and Jarrett
