Beautifully centered 1867 3¢ A Grill tied by Memphis, Tennessee, blue Shield fancy cancel3¢ Rose, A. Grill (79), superb centering, perfs are much better than usual for this issue, tied by well-struck blue Shield fancy cancel with matching "Memphis Tenn. Sep. 16" (ca. 1867) circular datestamp on buff cover to Germantown, Tennessee, small piece out at top of cover, accompanying certificate notes a "pulled perf" at left but this is completely normal for the A Grill, Extremely Fine stamp and perfect strike of this fancy cancel, ex Gibson and Rudy, with 2004 P.F. certificate
