Jun. 2" (1849) circular datestamp on blue folded letter to Montpelier, Vermont, manuscript forwarding request at bottom, bright and fresh, Very Fine and choice example of the famous St. Johnsbury Scarab fancy cancel, the USPCS census lists only seven 5¢ covers with this distinctive cancel, ex Craveri and Hackmey, with 1999 P.F. certificate
