One of the finest copies of Position 99R2, the exemplary Type III position, used on a circular1¢ Blue, Type III, Position 99R2 (8), large top and bottom margins, full margins at sides except just touched at upper left, showing wide breaks in outer lines and double transfer--the distinctive traits of this position--tied by "New York Oct. 29" (1856) circular datestamp on folded printed circular to Troy, New York, dateline from circular intact (the rest is removed), Extremely Fine, a remarkably choice example of the 1¢ 1851 Imperforate from Position 99R2 on a circular, certainly one of the finest in existence, ex Caspary, Lehman, Grunin and Zoellner, Scott value for 99R2 on cover is $15,000.00
