10c Blue, Paterson (2). Slightly irregular margins and small faults, tied by "Richmond Va. Sep. 8, 1862" circular datestamp on small oatmeal cover to Farmington N.C. with Mounted Dragoon and Verse Patriotic design (SM-1, Verse 45), overall dampstaining, otherwise Fine, this design is rare with the 10c Blue lithograph, strangely we have seen far more examples of this Patriotic with the 10c Rose, ex Bush, accompanied by biographical information on the sender, who was twice a prisoner-of-war and died in a Washington D.C. hospital in 1864
