(Oct?) 31, 1861" circular datestamp on red and blue 12-Star Confederate Flag with Tassels and Verse Patriotic cover (F12-4, Verse 54), significant misregistration of the blue color makes each star appear double, addressed to Osceola Ark., stamp with light crease, cover slightly reduced at left

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE AND BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT MEMPHIS POSTMASTER'S PROVISIONAL ON A COLORFUL PATRIOTIC COVER.

This 12-Star design is the same as F8-12, but with stars added to the four corners.
