Sale 1206, Lot 1035, Confederate States: General Issues on Cover10c Dark Blue, Hoyer & Ludwig (2b). Huge margins all around, proof-like impression, tied by bold "Greenville Ten. Apr. 20" circular datestamp on buff turned cover to Adj. Gen. Whitthome in Memphis, manuscript "Via Atlanta & Mobile" (safest route), the inside is addressed to Greenville and free franked by Rep. Thomas A.R. Nelson, who was a pro-Union Congressman from Tennessee, he was elected to a second term in 1860 on the eve of the Civil War, but was arrested by Confederate authorities before he could take his seat, minor edgewear, Extremely Fine Gem stamp on an attractive cover, ex Everett and Boshwit, with 2009 P.F. certificate
