Position 38 with "AT" flaw in "States", full to large margins, rich color, tied by "Savannah Ga. Paid Mar. 6" circular datestamp on 1862 cover to Mrs. Lamar Cobb, "care of Col. John B. Lamar" in Macon Ga., flap with embossed "LC", Very Fine, Col. John Basil Lamar was aide-de-camp to Gen. Howell Cobb, as well as his close friend and brother-in-law, he was killed in action in Sep. 1862 at Crampton's Gap Md.
