1864, 2c Black (20). Plate 5-C, Type X (Westerberg Position 10), four margins, tied by 9-bar square grid cancel, clear strike of "Honolulu Hawaiian-Islands May 4" circular datestamp on cover to Kohala, Hawaii, stamp lifted and hinged onto coverVERY FINE. ONE OF TWO RECORDED COVERS BEARING THE 1864 2-CENT FIFTH-SETTING NUMERAL ISSUE ON WHITE WOVE PAPER, SCOTT 20.
2c Numeral stamps from the Fifth Setting on white wove paper are much scarcer in used condition than unused. Only one other cover is recorded, used in September 1864 and addressed to Keauhou (ex Twigg-Smith, Siegel Sale 931, lot 4111).
