HAWAII, 1893, 25c Dark Violet, Red Ovpt. (64). Tied by four-ring target cancel on registered cover to Dunedin, New Zealand, red "Honolulu, Hawaii Aug. 11, 1893" double-circle datestamp and matching "R", manuscript "per S.S. Miowera", receiving backstamp, printed company corner card on backflap for agent of Lloyd's, some edge wear including tear at top from opening, some toning, otherwise Very Fine and rare use paying 10c rate plus 15c registered return fee to New Zealand, ex Aall, the Miowera was wrecked on rocks near Honolulu on October 2, 1893, shortly after this cover was carried
