Sep. 1" (1879) circular datestamp on back of cover to Brighton, England, with United States 1879 5c Blue (185), tied by bold four-bar grid cancel with "San Francisco Cal. Sep. 9 7AM" (1879) circular datestamp, Honolulu forwarder's magenta backstamp and Brighton receiving backstamp, 5c stamp with tiny perf tear and slightly toned perfs at top, still Very Fine and attractive mixed franking paying the 6c Hawaiian treaty rate to the U.S. and 5c GPU/UPU rate to England, Hawaii did not join the UPU until Jan. 1, 1882
