1901, 53-1/3c Violet on Dark Blue, -1/3bbl., Beer (REA68; Priester 74). Unused (no gum), huge margins to clear including sheet margin at right, rich colors, light creases are barely noticeableVERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 1901 ONE-THIRD BARREL BEER STAMP ISSUE. ESPECIALLY DESIRABLE IN UNUSED CONDITION.
The Priester census records five copies of this issue. We do not know if any others are unused. We have offered only one used copy (with perforated cancel) since keeping computerized records.
