1870, $1.00 Blue, Lilac Security Lines, 1bbl., Beer (REA18; Priester 19B). Unused (no gum), large to huge margins including sheet margin at right, deep rich colors, light creasesFRESH AND EXTREMELY FINE. A RARE UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 1870 ONE-BARREL BEER STAMP.
Only 15 are recorded in the Priester census, of which four are in an unused block. We do not know how many of the remaining ten examples are unused -- we have sold no other unused and only one used example since keeping computerized records.
