Folded cover with red "PHILA/DELPHIA" two-line handstamp and "5/FE" in circle Franklin mark to Perth Amboy N.J., red "2" dwt manuscript rate, docketing indicates sender was Nicholas Waln (1742-1813) who was an attorney who in 1772 became a Quaker minister, some splitting along folds, still Very Fine use paying the 2dwt rate for distances between 60-100 miles
