Sale 1155, Lot 3008, Confederate States, Handstamped Paid thru Postmasters ProvisionalsRichmond Va. Apr. 24, 1862. Circular datestamp and "DUE 10" straightline on small cover to Bridge Creek Ga. with 10-Star Confederate Flag design with unlisted slogan and verse, "Center Hill Guards, Cobbs' Reb. Ga. Vol. Commanded by Capt. REYNOLDS" slogan and "Oh sunny South..." verse (F10-3 var.), soldier's endorsement at bottom from Private Abner Wills, who was a member of Company B of the 16th Georgia Infantry and was killed months after this cover was sent in the Antietam campaign, expertly sealed tear, Very Fine appearance and rare, the C.S.A. Catalog lists this design with a different Cobbs' imprint and no verse ($1,000.00), this is the first one of these we have seen with the additional printing
