3c Dull Red, Ty. II (11A). Large margins to just in, tied by Star of David fancy cancel, "Chickopee Mass. Aug. 24" circular datestamp and used as forwarding postage on cover, red "Ogdensburgh N.Y. 3cts. Paid Aug. 22" original integral-rate circular datestamp, addressed to Chickopee Mass. and forwarded to Holyoke Mass., back of cover with unusual "SALT RIVER" straightline handstamp struck twice, manuscript "Forwarded by Lucien" on top flap, Very Fine, with 2009 P.F. certificate declining opinion on the origin or meaning of the backstamp, with the forwarded notation on back this may have been carried outside of the mails to Ogdensburgh where 3c postage was paid in cash, there are Salt Rivers in several western states and Canada, an excellent opportunity for additional research, an attractive cover
