12c Black (17). Large margins to just touched, used with horizontal strip of three of 3c Dull Red, Ty. II (11A), similar margins, tied by blue "Philadelphia Pa. May 27" circular datestamps on 1853 folded letter to Paris, France, addressed to Charles Toppan of Toppan, Carpenter & Co. fame, the printers who produced the 1851-57 Issue, sender's directing "Steamer pr. Baltic May 28" at lower left and carried on that Collins Line's vessel which departed New York May 28 and arrived Liverpool June 7, light strike of "New York Am. Pkt. May 28" circular datestamp, London and receiving backstamps, manuscript "16" decimes due marking, minor wear, Very Fine and scarce use paying the 21c rate Open Mail, American Packet via England
