12c Black (17). Horizontal strip of three, large margins to just barely in, used with horizontal strip of three of 3c Dull Red, Ty. II (11A), similar margins, affixed slightly overlapping and cancelled by manuscript "#"'s on 3c Red on Buff Nesbitt entire (U10), similarly cancelled, to Manchester, England, blue "Skaneateles N.Y. Aug. 25" circular datestamp, red "38" credit handstamp, "America Liverpool Paid SP 6, 1856" transit, "Boston Br. Pkt. 27 Aug." and receiving backstamps, few small filing holes, entire with small repair at bottom right, Very Fine, attractive use paying double the 24c rate, carried on the Cunarder Canada which departed Boston Aug. 27, 1856 and arrived Liverpool Sept. 7 (the Liverpool marking was probably not changed to the new date), with 1999 P.F. certificate
