Large margins to in at top left, tied by black grid cancel, "STEAM" handstamp on blue folded letter datelined "Memphis Sept. 28th 1852" to New Orleans, stamp also tied by red "New Orleans La. Oct. 4" circular datestamp, bold strike of red "NEW ORLEANS & MEMPHIS PACKET, T.P.
