4c Dark Brown (222). Wide top imprint, plate no. 203 and letter "M M" block of ten, barest trace of hinging (if at all), deep rich color on bright paper, choice centering throughout

EXTREMELY FINE. A GORGEOUS LIGHTLY HINGED PLATE BLOCK OF THE 4-CENT 1890 ISSUE.

The 4c Small Bank Note issue is very rare as a wide top plate block with choice centering. A review using Power Search confirms this. We have offered fewer than five in any gum condition since keeping computerized records and none compare to the centering of the superb plate block offered here.
