EXTREMELY FINE. AN OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE OF THE 1870 24-CENT NATIONAL BANK NOTE COMPANY GRILLED ISSUE, COMBINING BEAUTIFUL COLOR, CENTERING AND CANCELLATION.

The 24c National Bank Note Company Grilled Issue is not known unused. Brookman estimates that only 2,000 were issued. Many of the genuine grilled stamps have faint or faded color.

With 2008 P.S.E. certificate (VF-XF 85; SMQ $9,500.00). Only three examples have been graded higher by P.S.E. (all at 90) and two share this grade
