Sale 1140, Lot 255, Specimens1c-15c 1898 Issue, "Specimen" Ovpts. (279S, 280S-282S, 283S, 284S). Six total, unused (no gum), 5c and 15c s.e. at right, 1c and 4c thin spots, 5c short perf at top, 15c small scuffs, otherwise fine "set", the 2c was not needed because the 2c of 1895 was basically the same color and the 10c Type I is same color and appearance as Type II, 5c with 1977 B.P.A. certificate
