Bluffton S.C., 5c Black entire (124XU1). Clear strike of provisional handstamp with "Bluffton S.C. Oct. 8" (1861) circular datestamp on yellow cover to Col. E. M. Seabrook in Charleston S.C., manuscript "To the care of George Bryan" at bottom, cover tears into both handstampsVERY FINE APPEARANCE. THIS IS THE UNIQUE EXAMPLE OF THE BLUFFTON S.C. POSTMASTER'S PROVISIONAL ENTIRE.
The Crown survey, C.S.A. and Scott catalogs all state that this is the only recorded example of the Bluffton Postmaster's Provisional.
