Sale 1134, Lot 240, 1898 Trans-Mississippi Issue (Scott 285-293)10c Trans-Mississippi (290). Original gum, lightly hinged, essentially perfect centering with wide margins, rich color and proof-like impression, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp and exceedingly difficult to find in this condition, with 1991 P.F. and 2009 P.S.E. certificates (OGph, Superb 98; SMQ $1,050.00), this is the highest grade awarded to the 10c Trans-Mississippi in any condition, and it is shared by one other hinged, seven Mint N.H. and three used -- the 50c and $2.00 values also lack a stamp graded higher than 98
