Tied by blue target cancel, red "New York May 10" (1870) circular datestamp on cover to Strasbourg, France, “GB/40c” Anglo-French accountancy handstamp, Calais arrival datestamp and “5” decimes due handstamp, cover expertly repaired at top and along center, flap reattached, appears Very Fine, there was never a 6c rate to France, so 6c 1869 stamps used alone to France are very rare, this overpays the 4c rate by British Open Mail
